Gulliver’s Kingdom Theme Park in Matlock Bath is set to reopen its doors to the public on July 18th, 2020.
The park which usually opens in March has been unable to open so far this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
In order for the park to open, a number of additional safety measures have since been added to the park in response to the pandemic, including temperature checks upon arrival, prior-visiting booking only, contactless entry, social distancing precautions, mandatory face coverings on all rides and a food pre-ordering system to name among some other precautions. To find out more about their new safety information, visit the Gullivers Kingdom Resort website: https://www.gulliverskingdomresort.co.uk/safe-steps
The park will also be operating on a limited capacity, having pre-booked entrance tickets only, as well as all on site restaurants having time slot service, allowing them to adhere to the government’s social distancing guidelines.
Julie Dalton, managing director, said:
“The last few months have been extremely challenging for us so to now be in the position where we can open our doors to our customers is wonderful.
“The health and wellbeing of our visitors and our employees really is top priority and so we have staggered the opening of our four parks to ensure each one meets the high standards we have set ourselves as well as meeting the requirements outlined by Government."
“The theme park will reopen on 18 July, however we are offering our T-Rex Treks from now until that date and opening our Explorers Retreat accommodation from July 4.”
Tickets must be purchased in advance, walk-ins will not be granted entry to the park.
This information also applies to there other Gulliver's Resorts Milton Keynes & Warrington.
Their new park, Gulliver's Valley Resort, for 2020 will have its grand opening on Saturday 11th July. This new park is located in South Yorkshire, right next door to Rother Valley Country Park. So not too far from the Matlock Park, (definitely worth a socially distanced visit!).
